Monarch 12, Cardinal Gibbons 8 – The Knights (8-3) rallied from being down 8-0 to defeat the Chiefs (6-6). Joe Hennessey went 2-for 3 with a triple and two RBIs, and Gino Poliandro went 2-for-4 with a double and run. Nick Ritornato went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs, and Jared Gomez went 1-for-1 with the go-ahead single.
Coral Springs Charter 14, Cooper City Cowboys 1 – Luis Guillorme went 4-for-4 with four RBIs, and Joe McChrystal hit two home runs, driving in four runs for the Panthers (9-6) in the Nova Titan Classic. Ryan Clarke homered.
Nova 12, Piper 2 – Gabriel Valverde went 2-for-2 with two doubles and three RBIs, and Brandon McCalla went 2-for-2 with two RBIs as the Titans (7-5) won their Nova Titan Classic opener.
Northeast 7, Miramar 3 – Mike Rendina pitched five and two-thirds innings to get the win for the Hurricanes (8-5). Eduardo Uriarte went 2-for-3 with two doubles and three runs, and Vince Duarte went 3-for-4 with two doubles.
Somerset 15, Dr. Krop 2 – Trevor Takacs pitched five innings and went 3-for-4 with a home run and six RBIs to pace the Panthers (5-12), who broke a six-game losing streak.
South Broward 12, Coconut Creek 2 – Kenny Rasor went 2-for-2 with a grand slam, and Bryan Mugione went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run as the Bulldogs (9-4) won the opener of their Spring Break Invitational. Makana Gilliland went 3-for-3 with a triple, double, three RBIs and a run.
