It was a light day of action on Saturday around Broward County, but here’s a look at some of games that were played…

North Broward Prep 3, Somerset 2 – Chad Fleischman had a pair of RBI’s on 1-for-3 hitting to lift the Eagles (4-2, 2-0) in the District 4A-13 showdown. Drew Rangel earned the win on the mound as the Panthers (3-4, 0-3) were held to just one hit.

American Heritage 14, Gulf Coast 3 – CJ Chatham was 3-for-4 with a grand slam home run, three runs and five RBI to lead the Patriots (5-1) in a rout of a makeup game from a rainout earlier in the week. Danny Zardon was 3-for-4 with a pair of runs and an RBI and Zack Collins went 2-for-3 with two RBIs.

Cardinal Gibbons 6, Chaminade-Madonna 0 – Chris Williams had six strikeouts over six innings for the Chiefs (2-3, 1-1) in the District 4A-13 contest. Nathan Pawelczyk was 3-for-4 with two RBIs. The Lions (0-6-1, 0-4) were shut out for the first time in 15 games dating back to last season.

Monsignor Pace 1, Coral Springs Christian 0 – Touki Toussaint allowed one run over six innings and recorded six strikeouts, but the Crusaders (6-2) were held to just three hits. Toussaint took the tough loss to go to 1-1 this season.
