Coral Springs Christian 10, University School 1 – Eric Hepple pitched five innings, allowing one earned run and one hit while striking out five for the Crusaders (9-2), who are on a three-game winning streak. He also went 1-for-2 with a sacrifice fly, bringing in two runs. Touki Toussaint went 2-for-2 with a double, triple, three runs and an RBI, and Benito Santiago went 1-for-2 with two sacrifice flies, two runs and three RBIs. Joey Depalo also had a hit, swiped two bases and scored three times.

Westminster Academy 7, Canterbury 1 – Daniel Donofrio went 2-for-3 with a double, run and RBI as the Lions won for the fifth time in their past seven games. Gabe Delgado went 1-for-2 with a double, RBI and run, and Blake Kidwell pitched a complete-game three hitter, allowing one earned run and three hits while striking out five. At the plate, he was 1-for-2 with a double and RBI.

Calvary Christian 12, Sagemont 2 – Andrew Libery allowed two hits and struck out three, and also had a big day at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Nick Kumar went 2-for-4 with a double and four RBIs. Steve Barnett went 2-for-5 with two runs and four stolen bases, and Andrew Gottfried went 2-for-5 with three runs, an RBI and a stolen base. Josh Lane added two hits, scored twice and drove in two runs.

Pine Crest 12, North Broward Prep 7 – Winning pitcher Steven Goldberg improved to 3-1 as he struck out six to help the Panthers (7-2), who have won their past three. Goldberg also was productive at the plate, hitting a home run and driving in three. Adam Sacks, Griffin Conine, Alex Perez, Eric Collazo and Matt Rothenberg also had two hits and one double each. Chandler Cissel drove in three runs. Hernando Sierra went 2-for-2 with a home run and double to lead the Eagles. Drew Rangel, Chad Fleischman and Kevin Thomas also homered.

West Broward 5, Pembroke Pines Charter 0 – Matt Hardy pitched a three-hitter and struck out a school-record 14 batters as the Bobcats (6-2) bounced back from a big loss to Flanagan last week. Eran Stocker led the offense, going 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI. Devin Hadley, Cody Newell and Angel Amadeo had hits. Hadley drove in a run, Newell doubled and Amadeo brought in two runs.

South Plantation 10, Western 9 – Sal Rodriguez and Ryan Terrill hit home runs to lead the Paladins, who evened their record at 4-4. Rodriguez drove in three runs and Terrill brought in two.

South Broward 6, Plantation 3 – Matt Cohick pitched five innings of scoreless relief, allowing two hits and no walks while striking out six for the Bulldogs (7-2), who maintained their top spot in 7A-16. Kenny Rasor went 3-for-4 with a double, stole base and two runs, and Mike Dunshee went 2-for-3 with two runs and three stolen bases.

Taravella 5, Piper 3 – Joey Romano went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI to pace the Trojans (6-2), who have won their past two games.

St. Thomas 4, Cooper City 0 – Alec Byrd struck out 13 and allowed two hits, and Raffa Amanua went 3-for 3 to help the Raiders to their six consecutive win.


Monarch 11, Coconut Creek 0 – Nick Alonzo went 2-for-2 with a double, and he also doubled tripled, drove in two and scored three times for the Knights (6-3). Gino Poliandro went 3-for-3 with a stolen base.


Northeast 16, Boyd Anderson 0 – Mike Rendina and Aaron Cooper combined on a no-hitter. Underhill went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs.
