Daily Recaps For Broward County Games on Tuesday, March 19th

Pine Crest 5, Calvary Christian 4 – Winning pitcher Adam Saks struck out six, and Matt Rothenberg went 1-for-2 with a run as the Panthers improved to 8-4. It was the second loss in a row for the Eagles. Zack Kone went 1-for-3 with a triple and run, and Chandler Cissel went 1-for-3 with an RBI. Andrew Liberty led Calvary, going 2-for-4, and Nick Kumar went 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Coral Springs Charter 10, North Broward Prep 0 – Stephen Kerr had two hits and drove in two runs, and Zack Webber also had two hits to pace the Panthers in the 4A-13 win over the Eagles. Charter has won its past two games.

Coral Springs Christian 7, Sagemont 0 – Devin Meyer tossed a two-hitter with seven strikeouts, and Touki Toussaint homered and drove in three runs as the Crusaders (12-2) stayed unbeaten in 3A-14 at 5-0. Abraham Alejandro went 1-for-3 with a run and two RBIs.

Taravella 4, South Plantation 1 – Justin Walker struck out five and allowed one earned run in a complete-game effort for the Trojans (7-3) in the 8A-11 game.

Fort Lauderdale 5, Northeast 1 – Jason Jeffery threw a complete game, and Alex Honner scored twice and hit a two-run bases-loaded single in the fifth to help the Flying L’s (5-7) win their third in a row. Brandon Rodriguez and Matthew Gibson doubled, and Kenny Miggins walked and scored.
