Westminster Academy 1, Cardinal Gibbons 0 (11 innings): Weston Clemente pitched eight innings, allowing three hits and no runs for the Lions. Mark Nowatnick pitched nine innings for Cardinal Gibbons, striking out eight.
Deerfield Beach 4, Dr. Krop 0 – Frankie Moschette struck out six and walked one as he struck out six and threw 86 pitches in a complete-game performance for the Bucks (4-10) in the South Broward Invitational. Brian Johnson tripled and drove in two runs, and George Edmunds doubled and drove in a run. Will Edmunds scored three times and doubled.
Charlotte 13, Coral Glades 8 – Andrew Shienbaum went 2-for-3 with two runs for the Jaguars (7-4) in the Sarasota Classic.
Northeast 5, Hialeah-Miami Lakes 4 – Ralph Morel went 2-for-3 with a double and three runs 3R, 2B, and Jon Jarboe scored the game-winning run to lift the Hurricanes (9-6) in the South Broward Invitational.
Pine Crest 4, Miami Palmetto 1 – Steven Goldberg struck out four in four innings and went 1-for-2 with two RBIs to help the Panthers improve to 10-5 for their second win in a row in the Sarasota Classic. Matt Rothenberg went 1-for-3 with two runs, and Chandler Cissel and Zack Kone also had hits and scored. Alex Perez went 1-for-4.
Coral Springs Christian 9, Lake Minneola 1 – Touki Toussaint struck out nine in six innings, allowing three hits, and also was a force at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI. Devin Meyer went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run. Eric Hepple went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a run and an RBI. Alex Widdicombe went 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
Cooper City 6, McArthur 4 – Nick Saltare went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs, a stolen base and a run, and John Haney went 3-for-3 with a double and run to pace the Cowboys (7-6) in the Titan Spring Classic. Mike Bosco went 2-for-5, and Kevin Rosario went 2-for-2 with a walk and hit-by-pitch.
Flanagan 4, Timber Creek 3 – Oscar Rodriguez and Ryan Dodge drove in runs, and Andres Visbal and Eric Rivera also scored to power the Falcons (11-2) in the Powered by Tradition Classic in Orlando.
Belen Jesuit 2, Western 0 – Sean Horner pitched a complete game, allowing one earned run for the Wildcats (6-8) in the Selective Recruiting Invitational.
Pompano Beach 4, Archbishop Carroll 3 – Brian Dolan allowed four hits an no earned runs in five innings, and relief pitcher Matt Fengler tossed three innings of two-hit ball, striking out four for the Golden Tornadoes (7-5) in the Selective Recruiting Invitational. Christian Perez hit a two-run home run.
Douglas 12, Chaminade-Madonna 0 – Derek Fritz doubled and drove in four runs to power the Eagles (12-2), who pushed their winning streak to five games.
Westwood Christian 3, Calvary Christian 1 – Alec Berizzi pitched six innings, allowing five hits, three runs and two earned runs while walked two and striking out three for the Eagles (7-5-1). Andrew Liberty tripled.
Highlands Christian 10, American Prep 0 – Deion Rosalia went 2-for-3 with four RBIs and a run, and Saul Velex and Joseph Ortiz also had two hits for the Knights (6-8).
West Broward 8, TERRA 3 – Dalton Brockman went 2-for-4 with a run, and Chayce Hey-Eldon went 1-for-1 with an RBI. Danny Pardo went 3-for-4 with an RBI and three stolen bases. Devin Hadley went 1-for-2 with an RBI.
Fort Lauderdale 2, Monarch 1 – Brad Smith pitched a complete game, striking out nine, and Kenny Miggins walked, stole a base for the Flying L’s in the Colts Spring Break Tournamet. Nick Alonzo struck out 10 in a complete-game performance, and Andrew Rohloff 2-for-2 with a run, RBI and home run.
