Daily Recaps For Broward County Games on Tuesday, April 9th

North Broward Prep 5, Pine Crest 4 – David Weisman went 2-for-3 and drove in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh to help the Eagles (10-11) bounce back from a loss to put themselves in fifth place in 4A-13. Matt Nathanson and Chad Fleischman homered.

Calvary 5, Westminster Academy 2 – Keith Oren went 3-for-4 with a double and RBI, and Connor Rowland went 3-for-4 with a run and two RBIs for the Eagles (9-6-1), who are in second place in 3A-14.

Monarch 7, Pompano Beach 3 – Nick Alonzo went 3-for-4 with a double, home run and two RBIs, and Gino Poliandro had two hits, including a triple, for the Knights (9-6). Chris Weiss went 2-for-2 with a run and two stolen bases to pace the Golden Tornadoes (7-9).

Dunwoody 11, McArthur 7 – Mike Bosco went 3-for-4 with two runs, an RBI and a stolen base, and Kevin Rosario also had three hits and scored twice for the Mustangs (7-9). Mike Velez drove in four runs with two hits.

Cypress Bay 9, Everglades 1 – Jeremy Tache pitched a complete game with 14 strikeouts, and Danny Cepeda went 3-for-4 with a home run, triple and four RBIs for the Lightning (10-5), who have won two in a row. Andrew Alvarez went 2-for-4 with a home run, and Devin Ramirez added two hits, including a double.

Piper 17. Coconut Creek 1 – Chase Perry went 4-for-4, with five RBIs for the Bengals (6-12), who opened the game with a nine-run top of the first.

Coral Springs Charter 7, Cardinal Gibbons 5 – Jorge Solano, Stephen Kerr and Matthew Fierman each had two hits for the Panthers (13-7-1), who are on a two-game winning streak.

Highlands Christian 15, Sheridan Hills Christian 0 – Will Coplien went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs for the Knights (8-9).

West Boca 4, Zion Lutheran 1 – Elijah Rodriguez went 1-for-2 with a run, and Bobby Barradas also had a hit for the Lions (9-7).
