Cooper City 7, McArthur 6 (9 innings) – Niko Saltare went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and a run, and Jackson Nix went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run for the Cowboys (8-8), who scored two runs in the top of the ninth to go ahead. Tied at 2 going into extras, both teams scored three in the eighth to extend the game. Austin Ryan pitched eight and two-thirds innings, allowing three runs and five hits.
University School 7, Hialeah Educational Academy 0 – Michael White struck out 15 in a complete-game one-hitter for the Suns (13-4-1), who have won two in a row. Isaac Zinguer went 2-for-4 with two RBIs, and Evan McKendry doubled. Shane Wise walked three times and stole three bases.
Coral Springs Charter 8, Taravella 1 – Chris Budden pitched five scoreless innings, and Joe McChrystal and Jorge Solano had two hits apiece as the Panthers won their third in a row to go to 14-7-1.
Dunwoody (Ga.) 8, West Broward 4 – Danny Pardo went 2-for-4 with a run, and Dalton Brockman and Luigi Perez each had a hit and drove in a run for the Bobcats (10-8), who will be looking to get back into the win column Friday against Coral Springs Charter.
Nova 3, Dunwoody (Ga.) 2 – Patrick Hubert had the game-winning hit in the sixth to lift the Titans (11-6), who won their second one-run game in as many nights.
Douglas 8, South Plantation 5 – Mike Greenberg went 2-for-4 with three RBIs for the Eagles (15-3) in the 8A-11 match-up. Douglas will face off against Coral Glades on Friday in a battle for the top spot in the district.
