Somerset Academy 5, Archbishop McCarthy 1 – The Panthers have had an up-and-down season, but Wednesday’s win over the Mavericks gives Somerset a boost going into districts. Brandon Acevedo allowed one hit in his four innings, and Ben Hoffmann and Etienne Latour also helped keep the Mavs at bay. Chris Medina hit a three-run single.

North Broward Prep 10, Zion Lutheran 2 – Hernando Sierra went 3-for-4 with two RBIs for the Eagles (12-12).

University School 8, Pine Crest 7 – Andrew Denis went 3-for-4 with a grand slam and four RBIs, and Michael White went 2-for-3 with a double and run for the Suns (14-6), who bounced back from a loss to Dwyer the night before.

Coral Springs Charter 10, Oxbridge Academy 0 – Luis Guillorme had a triple double Wednesday night. No, he wasn’t playing basketball. He went 3-for-3 with all the hits being doubles to lead the Panthers (17-7).

South Plantation 5, South Broward 0 – Mike Mele pitched a complete-game four-hitter with four strikeouts to guide the Paladins (8-8). Joshua Matos hit two sacrifice flies, and Brian Llorente also hit a sacrifice fly.
