Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Saturday, March 8th, 2014

Alex Bialakis and Daniel Mayer combined on a shutout. Bialakis threw five innings and struck out six, and Mayer finished the game striking out two in two innings. Christian Falgons went 1-for-3 with a run. Depsite the loss, Gibbon's Chris Williams threw five innings, struck out five, walked one, and allowed one hit. Williams went 1-for-2 with a stolen base at the plate. Ryan Swanson was 1-for-3 for Gibbons.

Luis Leak had a breakout two RBI triple in the fourth to lead Coral Springs Christian past Highlands in their 5-0 win. Touki Toussaint went 2-for-3 with two doubles, an RBI and a run. Eric Hepple threw six innings, struck out 10 and allowed just one hit. Benito Santiago was 1-for-1 with two walks and a RBI in the win.

Adam Saks picked up the win for Pine Crest throwing five innings and allowing no earned runs. Chandler Cissel went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs in the Panthers 9-4 win. Griffin Conine was 3-for-5 with a RBI in their victory.

Weston Clemente threw a complete game, struck out nine, and allowed just two hits in Westminster's 6-1 win. Josh Viveros and Nick Gauntner went 1-for-3 with an RBI. Sam Etter was 1-for-3 in the win Saturday.

Brian Gonzalez delivered his second home run of the season for Archbishop. Christian Stampler had the walk-off RBI on a single in the fifth. Eddie Silva was 2-for-2 with two RBIs in Archbishop's 10-0 win. As a team the Mavericks jumped on Toronto in the bottom of the first with three runs on three hits in six pitches.
