Just call Alex Toral the Walk-off Kid.
Toral had a walk-off hit in the bottom of the seventh Thursday to give Archbishop McCarthy an 8-7 win over Goleman.
Toral did it again Friday night only a bigger stage in a key game as he homered in the bottom of the ninth inning to give Archbishop McCarthy an 8-7 win over American Heritage in a 5A-16 matchup. Toral finished with three hits, including another two-run homer.
Christian Demby struck out seven in four innings, and Jake Anchia hit a two-run home run.
Elsewhere around Broward County, Devin Adams struck out 10 in a complete-game effort for Miramar in its 5-1 win over Everglades in an 8A-13 matchup. It was the first win this year for the Patriots (1-3).
Pompano Beach earned a win in 5A-16 as the Golden Tornadoes beat Hallandake 12-2, and Sagemont got past SLAM in 8-6 in 3A-15.
