Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Tuesday, February 24th, 2015

TJ Williams struck out 10 in six innings and allowing three hits before Coral Glades had to stave off a five-run, top-of-the-seventh rally from 8A-11 foe Deerfield Beach to win 7-6 on Tuesday. The Jags stayed unbeaten by the the skin of their teeth, improving to 6-0, and have a big matchup with another 8A-11 rival, Douglas, on Thursday. The winner will hold the top spot in the district standings.

Western broke out of a two-game slump to pick up its first district win in 8A-12 as the Wildcats beat South Plantation 9-1 behind winning pitcher Trent Massaro.

In another 4A-14 game, Chaminade-Madonna earned its first win in the district and broke a two-game losing streak by beating Coral Springs Charter 3-0 behind winning pitcher Mike Callari.

Coral Springs rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh to defeat West Broward 5-4.
