Sean Paul Cronin doubled in Zack Warienus for the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning to lead Westminster Academy to a 3-2 win over Cardinal Gibbons. It was the fourth consecutive win for the Lions (10-2).

Garrett Rukes pitched a three-hitter with eight strikeouts as Pine Crest knocked off University School 11-0 in a 4A-14 game. The Panthers, who have won six of their past seven after a 2-3 start, are 6-3 in the district for second place.
