Rubin Guante drove in the winning run, and Austin Marks drove in two runs to power Coral Springs Christian to a 5-3 win over Battleground Academy on Friday in the National Classic in Pompano Beach. It was just the second win this season for the Crusaders (2-13).
Also in the National Classic, Devin Conn hit two home runs and singled, driving in four runs as Douglas beat Hialeah 14-4.
Somerset Academy stayed hot, winning its sixth in a row as it defeated Barrington 10-6 in the Perfect Game Tournament in Emerson, GA.
