Nick MacDonald pitched a two-hitter with 13 strikeouts as West Broward beat Cypress Bay 5-0 on Monday. The Bobcats have won three in a row and seven of their past nine.
Coral Springs Christian won its first game of the season, defeating Boca Raton Christian 4-2.
Justin Carrillo earned the win, pitching six strong innings for Everglades in an 5-1 win over Northeast. Dominic Desisto struck out two in his closing inning and also went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. It was the second consecutive win for the Gators (4-6).
