Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Monday, April 6th, 2015

Calvary Christian knew how key Monday’s game against Chaminade-Madonna was, so the Eagles wasted no time getting out to a big lead and held on for a 7-2 win that gave them the top seed in 4A-14 in a tiebreaker with Pine Crest. Andrew Gottfried struck out nine in a complete-game performance. Brett Lawson and Josh Lane each had two hits. Both the Eagles and the Panthers finished 9-3 in the district.

Coral Springs Charter has had an inordinate amount of losses this season and was riding an uncharacteristic nine-game losing streak, but the Panthers have turned things around a bit and built their first winning streak in a month, defeating Orangewood Christian 12-0 behind two hits each from Victor Pimentel and James Doherty.

Sagemont won its second in a row as it defeated University School 7-3 as Angelo Pagliuca went 2-for-4 with a double, home run and three RBIs.
