Dr. Gary Bofshever & Patrick Lawlor Sponsor Player Profiles
The High School Baseball Network has worked tirelessly to bring increased exposure to players in Broward County. Entering its sixth season, BrowardHighSchoolBaseball.com has become the model high school baseball website in the nation, and hundreds of scouts across the U.S. log in to BHSB on a daily basis searching for South Florida talent.
Thanks to the support from our generous Player Profile sponsors, every player in the county can now have their own free profile, with important information such as GPAs, 60 times, coaches and player contact information, and all other relevant scouting benchmarks. This season Dr. Gary Bofshever has teamed up with Patrick Lawlow of Lawlor & Zigler Personal Injury Trial Attorneys to sponsor the Player Profiles.
Dr. Bofshever was not always known by that title. Back before he grew his chiropractor business into one of the most successful in South Florida, he was just a high school baseball player with dreams of playing in the big leagues. When injuries derailed Bofshever’s dream, he changed courses and went on a mission to help young players never feel the pain he felt when having to give the game he loved up due to injury. The result has been a highly successful business, but the love of the game never disappeared.
“The involvement in my whole career is not about getting business,” Bofshever said. “The involvement is about making relationships and forging those relationships. I believe in karma, and if you give back, you get back. Whether it’s in money or friendships it’s all positive for your life. We know the competitive nature for colleges and getting drafted is unbelievable. There are so many athletes in South Florida, any little edge can help.”
Pat Lawlor has always been involved in sports. The native of Danbury, Connecticut, has been involved in golf and baseball primarily in recent years and he has been the chairman of the Broward County Hall of Fame for the past 13 years. Lawlor graduated from Nova Southeastern University and has been practicing law for the past 25 years, and he was also a certified NFL sports agent. He has been involved in many other various sports and Super Bowl committees working with the convention and visitors bureau.
“This is a chance to help somewhere in something that I know,” Lawlor said. “Personally, I love baseball. I love to see the kids develop, and we are in the hotbed for all sports down here. Baseball is just amazing and just seeing the games and seeing them develop is great. That is why this site is so great is because it helps to do stuff for the kids. They are still kids and they like playing baseball.”
These continued partnerships help to provide Broward County with the best high school baseball coverage in the nation. Colleges across the country are able provided with detailed and accurate information about prospective players, and everyone that wishes to go on and play baseball at the college level has the opportunity to make that happen.
