Buddy Hayward got the win as University School won its seventh in a row by beating Seacrest Country Day 14-3 on Saturday. Hayward struck out six and allowed no earned runs in his four innings of work for the Sharks (8-1). Jake Kubiliun went 3-for-5 with two RBIs, and Michael Glance and Jake Pfundstein added two hits each.

Jack Khawly smacked a grand slam and Kenny Moreno-Costa hit a solo shot as Somerset bounced back from Wednesday’s loss to Pompano to beat Pine Crest 5-1 in a 5A-14 game. Mark Bejar got the win for Somerset, which improved to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in the district. Pine Crest dropped to 4-3 and 3-2.
