Living up to its nickname, Chaminade-Madonna has come into March like a lion, winning three of the four 4A-7 games its played. The last victim of the Lions was SLAM, whom Chaminade beat 9-6 after being down 6-3. The Lions put up six runs in the bottom of the sixth to win, improving to 7-4 overall and 6-3 in the district. Ryan McManigal got the win.
Cardinal Gibbons snapped a four-game losing streak as it edged Saint John Paul II 6-5. The Chiefs improved to 3-8.
