Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Tuesday, March 15th, 2016

Chris Vickers went 3-for-5 with two runs, a double and a stolen base, and Nick DiRoberto added three hits, scored twice and drove one in to help Chaminade-Madonna beat Miami Country Day 15-5 in a 4A-7 game for their third win in a row. Mike Drag went 2-for-4 with a run, double and RBI, and Michael Blanco tossed four innings, striking out six for the Lions (8-4, 7-3).

Fort Lauderdale solidified its second-place position in 8A-14 and got its second shutout win over Piper this season, 8-0. The Flying L’s (8-4, 4-1) gave up nine hits but made the outs when needed to keep the Bengals (8-4, 2-3) off the board.

Douglas won its ninth in a row and maintained its dominance in 9A-11 as it beat Deerfield Beach 8-2. John McKenna went 2-for-3 with a home run and RBI for the Eagles (11-1, 6-0).
