Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Wednesday, March 23rd, 2016

Anthony Masiello got the win as North Broward Prep took a four-run lead in the second and held on to beat Rocky Mountain 7-3 on Wednesday in the National High School Invitational at the National Training Complex in Cary, N.C. It was the third win in a row for the Eagles (11-4), who take on Altoona, Ga. at 3:30 p.m. today.

A pair of three-run innings in the first and second put Pompano Beach in the driver’s seat Wednesday in an HSBN March Madness Shootout game, propelling the Tornadoes to an 8-4 win over American. Chase Costello pitched six innings, striking out seven and allowing two hits. Vinnie Costello went 2-for-3 with four RBIs and a run, and Bobby Aseere went 3-for-4 with a double and two runs for the Tornadoes (11-6), who won their second in a row. Jeremy Davis went 2-for-2 with a walk and a run.

American Heritage rebounded from two consecutive losses to defeat St. Brendan 12-2.
