Highlights, Scores and Recaps for Wednesday, April 13th, 2016

Vinnie Costello went 4-for-4 with a home run, six RBIs, three runs and two stolen bases to power Pompano Beach to a 17-2 win over South Broward on Wednesday. Bobby Aseere went 3-for-3 with a double, run, two RBIs, walk and two stolen bases, and Max Stein added three hits, including a home run, scored and drove in two runs for the Tornadoes (15-8). Peyton Trautman pitched four innings, allowing three hits while striking out three and giving up one earned run.

Andrew Labosky hit two home runs to drive in four runs to power Cardinal Gibbons past Taravella 6-2 as the Chiefs broke a four-game skid.

University School also snapped a losing skid as it rebounded from two straight losses to defeat Mourning 6-3. Buddy Hayward struck out six in five strong innings, and Kyle Oren, Jake Pfundstein, Jonathan Miller and Andrew Grinberg each had two hits for the Sharks (18-7).
