The Paladins shuffled the District 11-6A standings once again Thursday evening when they blanked South Broward 4-0 behind a strong performance by Brandon Burgess.

Piper scored five runs in the first inning and never trailed as they defeated South Broward in a District 11-6A game Friday evening.

McArthur defeated South Broward 3-2 in come from behind fashion Tuesday to take the lead in District 11-6A. Jose Ortiz pitched a complete game to lead the Mustangs.

South Broward stayed on top of District 11-6A on Thursday when they defeated Plantation 11-3. Makana Gilliland was the offensive star, going 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored.

McArthur established themselves as the team to beat in District 11-6A with a 12-2 victory over South Broward. The win moves the Mustangs to 4-0 in district play.

McArthur’s Dylan Segula highlighted a day of blowouts in Broward County by throwing a no-hitter in a 21-0 rout of Hollywood Hills.

South Broward has moved to 2-0 in the district and 3-0 overall after their win against Plantation Tuesday night. All three of their victories have come on the road.

South Broward holds on for a somewhat sloppy but much appreciated 7-6 come from behind win in spite of the showers and a 20 minute rain delay.

The 2011 high school baseball season began on Monday, and for South Broward, it turned out to be a successful debut.

Defending 6A state champion Flanagan, district 10-6A champs Coral Springs, and district 11-6A champion South Broward, will take the field today for preseason games.
